BMW Recalls X5, X6, and X7 Vehicles

In February 2021, BMW issued a recall for 21 vehicles because the joint connections in the steering column may not have been tightened to specifications.

Included in this recall are 2021 BMW X5 sDrive40i, X5 xDrive40i, X5M, X5 xDrive45e, X6 sDrive40i, X6 xDrive40i, X7 xDrive40i and X7 M50i vehicles.

BMW dealers will either replace the joint bolts or, potentially replace the steering column shafts and universal joints.

Affected customers should keep an eye out for the recall as it is expected to begin on March 23, 2021.
